Hill descent control is armed — the car will automatically brake to a crawl on steep downhills.
What it means
Common on SUVs and trucks, hill descent control uses the ABS to hold a set low speed (typically 2–6 mph) down steep grades so you can steer without riding the brakes. The light means the system is switched on or actively controlling speed.
Can you keep driving?
Yes. If it's on unintentionally, press the HDC button to switch it off for normal driving.
