EV / Hybrid READY Indicator
The high-voltage system is live and the car is ready to drive — even though it's silent.
What it means
EVs and hybrids make no engine noise at standstill, so the READY light is how you know the car is actually 'on' and will move when you press the accelerator. If READY won't appear, the 12V battery, brake-pedal interlock, or a high-voltage fault is usually involved.
Can you keep driving?
Yes — the light means exactly that. If READY never appears, the car isn't started: press the brake firmly and the start button again.
